THE SECRET GARDEN will be the summer musical at The Whole Backstage, Guntersville. The musical is based on the book of the same name by Frances Hodgson Burnett, telling the story of a disagreeable young girl who grows up and becomes more loving as she brings a "secret garden" back to life. Marsha Norman wrote the play and Lucy Simon the music. It won the 1991 Tony Award for best book, and the young star was awarded the Tony for the best actress in a musical.
