| "A Mark Twain Evening" PLAYS ARE ADAPTED FROM MARK TWAIN SHORT STORIES BY:JULES TASCA.....THE FOLLOWING ARE SHORT SYNOPSISES OF PLAYS. "Mrs. McWilliams and the Lightning" At the opening Mrs. McWilliams is hiding
in the closet frightened of the lightening storm that seems to be raging
outside. Her husband who at first is not afraid of lightening, becomes just
as panicked as his wife and she sends him through the funniest paces to avoid
being struck.
"Mrs. McWilliams and the
Lightning" "Cannibalism in the Cars" This play deals with 8 Congressmen riding a train to Washington, who become trapped for over two months in an inpenetrable snow drift. They do the only thing possible when they run out of food. They form a committee to decide who amongst them should be eaten first. They do this as if they were in the Halls of Congress, and vote as if it were a highway construction bill. "Support Your Local Police" A free adaptation of Mark Twain's satire about the disappearance of a Siamese elephant. Mr. Simons has lost the elephant and places the case in the hands of a maniacal police chief who is out for nothing but personal gain.
